VOXXEL.column.05
3D-printed media, copper plating, and custom patina
Height: 2 meters
The sculpture’s journey begins in a digital landscape, shaped through command-line operations, freeform drawing, and controlled TNT-based destruction.
These virtual voxel structures are then translated into physical objects using 3D printing.
VOXXEL.column.05 undergoes extensive material experimentation—including copper plating and meticulous patination.
The final column stands as a monument to material transformation, merging the blocky aesthetics of code with the weathered, timeless feel of an ancient artifact.

VOXXEL.column
Voxel-like forms — reminiscent of ancient cultural glyphs or mechanical components — meander and interlock to form a labyrinthine column. The stacked layers pulse rhythmically between crisp, recognizable structure and degraded chaos, as vibrant turquoise and earthy rust patinas emerge across the surfaces.
Engineered with tectonic precision yet softened by natural oxidation, each column feels both archaic and futuristic — a digital totem that has begun to weather and transform, blurring the boundary between code and living matter.
